  • The 2008 USAT National Club Championships will be held in conjunction with the USAT Halfmax National Championship. This concept began in 2007 and has proven to be a powerful combination. The Championship weekend will feature three races taking place on the same day. The participation limit at the new venue has been expanded to 1,500 athletes.

General Entry & Qualifying Entry Slots

GENERAL ENTRY - The 2008 TriSports.com Halfmax National Championship will offer a very limited number of general entry slots. These general entry slots do not require qualification. General entry participants will be competing alongside the qualifying athletes. General entry participants will receive the same great race amenities, but will not be eligible for qualifier discounts.

EXCEPTION: In 2008, General Entry slots will NOT be eligible to compete for the World Championship Slots. Only qualifying athletes will be eligible for the slots.

General Entry slots can be transferred to Championship slots if the athlete qualifies and notifies Ultramax Events, in writing, by October 1st (transfer is subject to availability of slots.

QUALIFYING ENTRY SLOTS - NEW FOR 2008 - Qualifying Event Incentive - Only athletes who qualify for the Halfmax Championship will be eligible for the exclusive World Championship Slots. See the HOW TO QUALIFY PAGE FOR MORE DETAILS.

 

Registration

HALFMAX ENTRY FEE: $205

1. REGISTER ONLINE - Register online with no processing fees.

*All Non-USAT members receive mandatory, $10.00 one-day USAT insurance. This will be added automatically to all online registrations. Please add $10 to all mail-in entries. Relay teams, please add $10 per team member. Apply for USAT membership (per-race insurance is included with annual membership).

The 2008 TriSports.com USAT Halfmax Championship entry is limited to only 750.

This event has a separate Refund Policy. The nornmal Ultramax Events policy does not apply!

Refund Policy This policy provides for a grace period in which you may receive a 50% event credit towards one of our future events in the same calendar year. This grace period expires 30 days prior to the race. In the case of a series race, the grace period expires 30 days prior to the first race in the series. The event credit will be for 50% of your entry fee. No event credits will be issued with less than 30 calendar days notice prior to race. We have found this policy to be an industry standard and necessary for the accuracy of our event registration. Contact BBSC for refunds or event entry questions!

 

Schedule

We've contracted with BBSC Endurance sports to directing the Halfmax Championship event in Las Vegas. The TriSport.com Halfmax Championship will be held in conjunction with the Pumkinman Triathlon. Divisions & Awards

Age Groups - 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70+. Clydesdale 39 and under (200 lbs),
Clydesdale 40 and over (200 lbs), and Athena (150 lbs). Awards will be presented to the top 3+ in each division, for championship competitors. The overall male and female champions will be removed from age groups.

 

World Championship Slots

The 2008 USA Triathlon Halfmax National Championship will continue to serve as the USAT Long Course National Championship. The Halfmax Championship will feature the largest number of World Championship slots in the nation. The Halfmax race will have a minimum of 10 slots per age group for the 2009 Long Course World Championships. The remaining slots will be assigned once the World Championship date and location are announced.
